This month's featured Interview: Getting to know Rachel Dymond of Moonbeam Pies.
Thank you very much for your interest in the site. About me? Well, I usually have two versions, a short one and a long one. And I'm partial to the long ones, so watch yourself!
So Here's the short one first: I love my wife and my kids, my friends and family. And...typewriters, disc golf, tracksuits, people, seeking, beating myself up, old shit, turntables, analog clocks and watches, stuff made in the U.S.A, knives, flashlights, writing, wearing women's sunglasses, sushi, and, oh yeah, I still like to get a little tipsy now and then. I don't like denial, dishonesty, dsyfunctional family bullshit, whoa, wait a minute, this was supposed to be the short version. I think....Stop.
And here's the long version: My name is Breckinridge. I've been writing most of life, but few people know it. And, no one has ever read my work. No one. Wow. Typing that is strange. I'm not sure I've ever even realized that. But, as I process that, it does make a fair amount of sense. Hell, I didn't know I was a writer, and I don't read my shit either. It almost always goes on the page, then into a stack of of notebooks or typing paper, never to be seen again. I've been hiding it from myself, clearly. I'm pretty good at doing that in all kinds of ways. A few times I came pretty close to figuring it out a few times, but something always got in the way. But, thankfully, those days are over.
I created this site to share my work, and myself, and to do that in the service of others. And I have a lot of catching up to do. s shit over the years and always being a seeker. Here, you'll find my thoughts, experiences, and resources designed to inspire and guide others. I love love and connecting with As far as material stuff goes, I love dressing like the Beastie Boys. I'm also very fond of disc golf. Thank you for supporting my journey.
